Education & Outreach for Colorado Conservation
Hundreds of Coloradans volunteered with CEC each year, donating their time in support of Colorado's environment. There is a huge variety of available opportunities. Volunteers represented CEC at community outreach events, call legislators and members at Capitol Watch meetings, restore trails in our wild places, assist with mailing parties and phone banks or just come into the office for a few hours to help out on a free afternoon.
Capitol Watch
Capitol Watch volunteers work with activists across the state to learn about and promote important conservation bills at the Colorado State Legislature.
Community Outreach/Etown
Community Outreach Ambassadors represent CEC at over 60 festivals, fairs and events year round, including all Etown radio show recordings at the Boulder Theater. Meet other concerned Coloradans and spread the word about CEC's conservation efforts.
Office Work
Protecting the environment involves lots of important office work, and CEC relies on volunteers to get it done. We always need help with mailings, data entry, phone calls, organizing around the office, and more...
GreenClean: Wilderness Restoration Weekends
Each summer CEC organizes several Wilderness Restoration Weekends, where CEC staff and 10-15 volunteers spend two days in one of Colorado’s spectacular wild places working to restore the natural character of the landscape we love so dearly.
